A home is one of the biggest investments that a person will ever make. For this reason, it’s important to invest time and energy in making sure the home always looks great inside and out. For this customer, the normal wear and tear that naturally occurs on home exteriors over the years had begun to take its toll. In addition, the homeowner was simply tired of looking at the same old paint job and wanted a new color to add some flair to the outside of the home. In order to do that, we first helped our customer figure out which color would suit their style and preferences by putting them in touch with a Décor Consultant at Sherwin Williams. They worked together to choose a new, darker paint color for the home that would add to its curb appeal. Once the color was chosen, Mr. Painter went to work preparing the outside of the home for painting. Before we can paint trim, doors, walls, ceilings, or anything else for a customer, we must make sure the surface is smooth and intact. The customer needed to have some rotted wooden window and door frames replaced, and we also re-caulked some of their damaged siding seams. Finally, we used both spray and brush application to apply two coats of paint to the outside of the home, including the front garage doors.
Once we were done repairing the exterior of our customer’s home and providing our painting services, our customer was very happy with the work we did. In fact, he exclaimed that he now LOVED the way that his home looked on the outside, which was a huge change from the boredom he felt when looking at it previously.
Whether it’s a commercial preschool and child care painting job or something we’re doing for a residential customer, it’s part of our service philosophy to ensure that we never leave a job half done. In this case, simply painting the exterior of the home would not have sufficed. During the consultation phase, we noticed that the customer had some rotted wood on their window and door frames. We also noticed that some of the siding seams needed re-caulking. We made sure to take care of these things for the customer before applying any of the paint. This way, once the job was done, our customer was left with a home exterior that looked as good as new.
